
𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 / 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗖 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆
𝟯𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) conducted a strategic visit to the Faculty of Engineering to strengthen alignment with HEC-ORIC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), particularly in the domain of research, innovation, and commercialization.
The session was chaired by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗺𝗷𝗮𝗱, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, and was attended by the chairpersons of various departments and senior faculty members, reflecting a strong institutional commitment to enhancing research productivity and translational outcomes. The visit focused on identifying engineering-based research opportunities, prototypes, and their potential for commercialization.
A comprehensive discussion was held on key ORIC policies including:
• Consultancy Policy
• Revenue Generation Policy
• Innovation and Prototype Development
• Commercialization pathways aligned with HEC-ORIC KPIs
The session proved highly productive, fostering meaningful dialogue between ORIC and the Engineering faculty on transforming academic research into impactful, market-oriented solutions.
The session was led by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗳, Director ORIC, who served as the resource person and provided detailed guidance on KPI-oriented research strategies. He emphasized the importance of integrating innovation with practical applications to enhance institutional ranking and national contribution.
He was assisted by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗨𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗷𝗶𝗱, who facilitated coordination and supported the session proceedings.
The visit concluded with an interactive discussion, where faculty members shared their ongoing projects and explored avenues for consultancy, prototype development, and revenue generation. The initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening ORIC’s engagement with the Engineering faculty under KPI D Segment, ensuring sustainable growth in the research and innovation ecosystem.
