The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and The Naemat Saleem Trust partnered for an intellectual development workshop for the professors of IUB.
Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafique-ur-Rehman, representing IUB's Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies, emphasized the importance of refresher courses for professors due to changing societal norms. Workshops lasting 3 to 4 hours, accommodating groups of 50 to 100 professors, are planned, with a special focus on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Director ORIC IUB, Prof. Dr Muhammad Atif welcomed the initiative as a significant step in faculty capacity building. The Naemat Saleem Trust expressed enthusiasm for supervising the project, and various deans, including Professor Dr. Shazia Anjum, Professor Dr. Rubina Bhatti, and Professor Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, endorsed the project.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Professor Dr. Naveed Akhtar, IUB's Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Dr. Saleem Tariq Khan, the former Vice-Chancellor. The collaboration aims to enhance faculty development and character building, benefiting both professors and students, ultimately contributing to societal betterment.
