►IUB SHINES AT SOUTH PUNJAB AI AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT EXHIBITION
ORIC-IUB is honored to share that, under the supervision and sponsorship of ORIC, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan has demonstrated a strong contribution in South Punjab AI and Technological Advancement Exhibition, organized by the HED South Punjab on November 07, 2024. The exhibition was honored by the presence of the Additional Chief Secretary, South Punjab.
A delegation from IUB, comprising faculty members and students, featured their innovative projects at the exhibition. Eight shortlisted projects were presented by the Principal Investigators during the event and received considerable appreciations by the attendees. These projects included the projects from Faculty of Computing, Department of Physiology and Department of Bio-Chemistry. Since the exhibition was AI and Technological Advancements centered, two projects from the Faculty of Computing were further shortlisted for IP negotiations with venture capitalists and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, South Punjab.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Atif, Director ORIC, commended the ORIC team including Mr. Abdul Moeed Abid, Additional Director ORIC, Dr. Muhammad Sajad, PhD , Manager, Innovation and Commercialization, Dr. Umar Bilal Sajid , Assistant and Mr. Hafiz Faizan Ahmad, Manager’s Assistant for playing key role in organizing the spree. He, further, paid a myriad thanks to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor IUB, Mr. Shaji-ur-Rehman, Registrar, and Dr. Abdul Sattar Zahoori, Treasurer for their immense support throughout the event.
