►ORIC IUB Collaborates with Regional Plan9 to Strengthen Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC IUB), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, proudly led a high-level delegation to #RegionalPlan9 IUB on November 22, 2024, to foster collaboration and innovation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The delegation, headed by Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor - IUB, included Mr. Shaji ur Rehman, Registrar - IUB, Mr. Zulfiqar Saeed, Director IT, Mr. Asghar, Deputy Registrar IT, and Mr. Hafiz Faizan Ahmad, Manager's Assistant, ORIC-IUB.
The visit marked a significant step towards collaborative efforts between ORIC and PITB Incubation WingRegionalPlan9 to empower startups and entrepreneurs. During the briefing by Mr. Shoaib Manzoor (Center In-Charge & Startups Growth Lead), the delegation was introduced to Regional Plan9’s impressive milestones:
- Rs. 28 million+ in revenue generated
- 500+ jobs created
- 60 startups graduated
- 7,000+ customers served
Startups from Cohort 6 showcased their innovative solutions, collectively achieving Rs. 1 million+ in revenue, 66 customers served, and 38 jobs created.
The Vice Chancellor and the delegation commended the startups for their innovation and societal impact, while ORIC IUB reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening entrepreneurial initiatives through collaboration with RegionalPlan9. This will open new avenues for research commercialization, innovation, and growth at IUB.
ORIC looks forward to supporting students, researchers, and entrepreneurs by building bridges and expanding the entrepreneurial landscape at IUB and beyond!
